First twenty smart cities under steady progress in the mission

The developments in the Smart City projects for the 20 cities that were selected in the first round have geared up in top order with 12 of the 20 cities completing the formation of their SPVs, two of the cities (Bhubaneshwar and Jaipur) finalizing the CEOs of their SPVs and the rest six still in the process of constituting the team. The SPVs have gained the top priority in the mission owing to their humongous responsibilities and roles in the successful execution of the projects. The government, that claims to have successfully achieved every target made so far, is all set to announce the next set of 14 smart cities very soon.
