Paperless Budgeting conserves 700 Trees

Odisha govt. acknowledges that Digitization has substantially reduced the printing of documents during the 2019-20 annual budget. This partial switch to paperless budgeting has resulted in saving 700 big trees. Additionally, a single-page salary bill has been introduced. Electronic processing of Pension papers through the Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) is effective. The Odisha Secretariat Workflow Automation System (OSWAS) has also been put into practice in all the departments and directorates leading to quick data storage, maintenance and monitoring.
