Bhubaneswar turns ODF city
With the onset of the new year Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has declared the smart capital open defecation free (ODF) ++ city. Post this declaration the authorities claim that the ODF ++ status will be open for Third Party verification. Next in line, BMC will proceed towards applying for the Garbage Free Cities (GFC) Star Rating. Earlier the ‘Go Green Campaign’ to sensitise citizens not to create more non-biodegradable wastes has found remarkable response. This implies that the city is all set to rank better at Swachha Survekshan Survey, 2020.
