Eco-friendly, 46ft Ganesha idol catches everyone's attention
With environmentalists raising concerns over Ganesha idols that are made of non-biodegradable materials, which are polluting the water bodies, the organizers at Bhubaneswar's pandal thought of doing something different this year. They came up with the idea of immersing an idol that would not harm the environment, for which they have used bio-degradable materials to build the idol. Another main reason for which the idol is drawing a lot of attention from all over the city- it's 46-feet tall. On the day of Ganesh immersion, water will be sprayed on the idol, which will get mixed with the existing soil on the ground.
