Students design an App to help train passengers
A group of 3 engineer students of National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST), Bhubaneswar, have developed an application, which will help train passengers in getting licensed porters at their destination. The name of the app is 'Connecting Porters' and it is available for free of cost in Google Play Store. Just like cab aggregators do, the mobile app will provide a virtual platform wherein the passengers as well as licensed porters can communicate with each other in a much comfortable, organised, systematic and economical way. This will also help the porters to earn more as their booking will be increased substantially and will be an additional passenger amenity available to the rail users free of cost.
