Odisha to get India's first robotic machine
The production of artificial limbs in Odisha would be now possible with installation of a robotic machine at the Swami Vivekananda National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (SVNIRTAR) at Olatpur. The SVNIRTAR holds an unique image in the country for artificial limb transplantation and physiotherapy. The machine is imported from France at a cost of Rs 2.72 crore and is based on CAD/CAM technology. Purchase of India's first ever robotic device is made from the Corporate Social Responsibility fund of the Nalco.
