Smart city BBSR gets its first skating rink

Bhubaneswar’s first full-fledged skating rink was inaugurated on 16th June at Madhusudan Das Park in Pokhariput. Built collaboratively by Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) in association with Orissa Skating Academy, the skating rink is around 8,000 square feet. The skating rink at Madhusudan Das Park will be managed by Orissa Skating Academy. Their trainers will educate boys and girls on different aspects of roller skating. Another rink is under construction at Buddha Jayanti Park in Niladri Vihar. The upcoming skating facility at the Buddha Jayanti Park would be around 20,000 square feet size and comparatively much bigger than the Pokhariput rink. The aim is to make roller skating-related sports more popular and allow the citizens to enjoy the sport.
