Odisha Govt. Retrieves Land Allotted To Industries
The State Govt. had issued notices to government land allotees to retrieve land back cause being non-utilisation of land. Around 977 allotees were issued notices while 211 allotments were cancelled. Lands were allotted to more than 200 industries but the lease cancellation depicts the failure on part of the industries to commission their projects. Some of major industries include Lanco Solar Power Ltd. in Cuttack, Brady & Morris in Jajpur & Seashore Agricultural Promotional Company in Nabarangpur. The government is promptly implementing Land Regulation 2015 proposed by Idco. Land allotment committee of Idco allots land to industries in consultation with state & district officials. About 38 proposals have been approved by the government to attract industries or investment in the state.
