NALCO & BARC join hands for R&D

NALCO  inks  a pact  with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai for research & development projects.  According to sources, under this MOU R&D projects of mutual interest like Extraction of Gallium from Bayer liquor, Extraction of rare earth elements from Red Mud and Development of Reference Standards  would come into force.  BK Satpathy, Executive Director (Business Development), NALCO and Dr. Jagtap, Director, BARC  (Chemistry Group) made the agreement official with their signature. Dr. T K Chand, CMD NALCO and Principal Scientific Advisor to Govt. of India and Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Committee to the Cabinet, Dr. Rajagopal Chidambaram were also present at the event.
