Odisha's First Robotic Restaurant Opened in BBSR

Opened in Chandrasekharpur area of Bhubaneswar, Robo Chef, a one of its kind restaurant has two humanoids, indigenously developed robots to serve food to the customers. The two robots are named Chameli and Champa and use SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) technology that help them function without any guided path or environment modification. Unlike other restaurants in India where robots are imported from China, Robo Chef's robots are completely manufactured in India. The two robots have no special track and can move on in any uniform surface. They are equipped with 17 sensors including that of heat, smoke, identifying people and even greeting them.
