State forest fencing to stop Jumbo death
Preliminary action has been taken by the Wildlife Society of Odisha to save the wildlife where the unused wells in the forest come as a threat & the blueprint of the suggested fencing has been submitted to Siddhant Das, principal chief conservator of forests. According to a survey in the past 3/4 years, 49 animals including 21 elephants were subjected to death by falling into the wells. Alternative suggestion comes from the society to fill the wells with sands to conserve the wild treasures of the state.
