Nalco signs MoU with Imidro
The Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) Tapan Kumar Chand signed a MoU with Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation Organization in the presence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in Tehran to supply alumina for the proposed smelter plant in Chabahar Free Trade zone. Apart from this, NALCO is looking forward to get benefitted from the low-cost gas-based energy available in Iran for alumina conversion while exporting to international markets. The coming three months will see the collaborative efforts from the officials of the both the parties to come up with the suggestions for ownership patterns, financing, supply of gas and many others.
