Uninterrupted power supply in Odisha till end of June
Earlier assurance from the department of energy to supply uninterrupted power till 19 May got extended up till 30th June. Energy minister Pranab P Das declared the news after analyzing the power scenario of the state in a review meeting which came as a relief as People were apprehensive about late monsoon this year. Our state derives 3300 MW to 4000 MW of electricity per day from hydro and thermal projects and from the central share. So to meet the peak hour demand it has to obtain of 50/60 MW of power from Punjab & Delhi through cashless transaction where equal amount of power will be given back during monsoon. Another review meeting on 30th June will take note of the further situation.
