OHRC fights for traffic personnel rights

Challenged by the petition of two right activists, Biswapriya Kanungo and Bijay Kumar Panda, the Odisha Human Rights Commission has questioned Home Secretary and Director General of Police about  the measures  taken to reduce the plight of  traffic personnel who works under the blazing sun. Though conditioned to work at adverse situations with the temperature at its peak traffic police are being subjected to health disorders. Evidently there  should be enough provision for them such as drinking water, umbrella, mask, first-aid kit & other necessary accessories. OHRC has asked the authorities to submit the report on proceedings within six weeks.
