VMC launched Smart Address Project

Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) has launched the Smart Address project by affixing digital door numbers at some houses in Gurunanak Colony.The project will be extended to the entire city in the next 100 days both for commercial and residential buildings. It is by Global Positioning System (GPS) of houses and Zippr codes that the new door numbers and assessment numbers have been generated. Stickers are pasted to identify the door with the generated codes. A Zippr mobile app would track these digital door numbers. In addition to serving as location finder, it will also aid the public in filing complaints with the VMC by referring to UID codes. Emergency service agencies like police,ambulance etc can use it to serve the citizens better. It is being implemented by Hyderabad-based Zippr Private Limited
