Koraput hospitals to have blood sugar analysers

Seeing  the increasing prevalence of diabetes among the locals that  increases the long term complications in the human body, the district headquarter hospital  at Koraput and the sub-divisional hospital  of Jeypore have been equipped with  HbA1c analysers. This device is a sophisticated version of the normal method where average plasma glucose concentration over a period of three months can be assessed instead of the conventional  procedure of blood sugar test for one day. Health authorities have decided to put health camps in different localities to provide the rural people with such affordable facility that will make consequent treatment process easy.
