NOKIA Resorts to IoT based products for smart cities
Finnish Communications and Information Technology company Nokia, which is currently engaged in four non-telecom areas namely, technology-based solutions for transportation, energy, public sector and large enterprises, is all set to step into the world of Internet of Things-based products once government rolls out the tendering process of smart city projects. The company plans to provide smart solutions such as smart parking, active waste management and smart metering and is seeking the answer to some critical issues like funding. Nokia exhibited 19 IoT-based products in the recently held Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and is looking forward to delve into smart city projects.
