Competition to uphold Odia culture

With a view to promote Odia language and tradition the organization named ‘Sambhabana’ is going to organise an event named ‘Shrestha Odiani’ competition at Ekamra Haat from April 1 to 13 where females above 18 years of age can participate. Under this competitions on 12 events like Jhoti, Pitha, Sankhapuja, dhagadhamali, paramparika sangeet, panabhanga, puran abruti, muruja, cooking, hulahuli, Odia tiana and Odiani beshabhusha will be carried out.

 In addition to this ‘Shishu-Kishore Odia Swabhiman Pratijogita’ would be held from April 11 to 14, where any child of 5-17 years of age can compete. This will include drawing, debate, debate, general knowledge, handwriting, Odissi, laghunrutya, sugam sangeet, recitation and comic dress wearing competitions.
